Experience-obsessed and committed to creating unforgettable moments, the Wisconsin Center District (WCD) is a quasi-governmental entity that operates the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena; the Miller High Life Theatre; and the Wisconsin Center, which is undergoing a $456 million expansion to double its size in downtown Milwaukee.
The expanded Wisconsin Center will be 1.3 million gross square feet, feature 300,000 contiguous square feet of exhibition space, 52 meeting rooms, and a spectacular rooftop ballroom with sweeping downtown views from the gracious outdoor terraces. Anticipated to open in spring of 2024, the expanded Wisconsin Center will represent Milwaukee and the region not only from the labor workforce on the jobsite every day, but in the public art which adorns the walls, the representation of Lake Michigan in the architecture, and through the economic impact that the meeting, convention and special event provides to the city we love.
Central to WCD’s focus is providing captivating and buzzworthy experiences, making Milwaukee a not-to-be-missed destination. Under the leadership of President and CEO Marty Brooks, the WCD team operates under three core values: Be Bold. Be Proud. Be Experience Obsessed., summarized as BPX. It is through these values that the Wisconsin Center delivers on some of the most exciting and talked-about events in the region.
The WCD team knows what it takes to put on a spectacular event and is excited to announce the first annual Gala Giveaway. One area non-profit will be chosen to host their 2024 gala in spectacular new rooftop ballroom of the Wisconsin Center, including complimentary room rent, chef’s choice 3-course menu, rentals including tables, chairs and linens, a credit toward audio/visual requirements and BPX delivery of service, for up to 500 people.
Applications are due by March 31, 2023; the winner will be notified by phone. We can’t wait to welcome you to the new Wisconsin Center in 2024.
